As Senior Shopper Insights Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in analyzing and interpreting this behavioral data to help CPG and Retailer clients understand the nuances of shopper behavior to unlock winning in-store strategies across store design, category management, shopper marketing, innovation, and more.  You’ll work closely with our analytics and sales teams to address client needs, manage market research projects deliverables, and provide comprehensive data analysis, reporting, and client presentations.  This role requires a unique blend of project management, client services, and data analytics skills to successfully lead and deliver market research projects.

Position Summary

VideoMining is seeking a Market Research Manager to join its insights team. This team member will be responsible for leading market research projects, analyzing market research data and providing concise and thoughtful analysis and interpretation for client projects.  This role will be responsible for both internal and client-facing communications and presentations, and therefore must be skilled at providing consultative and polished project management, while also performing deep data analytics with precision and speed. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify relevant insights, contextualize and interpret findings, and provide best practice recommendations in the form of organized and structured reports.
  • Consult with clients to define market research projects, translating their needs and ideas into a concise project plan with clear objectives and deliverables.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end project plans, including research design, data requirements, internal workstreams, and project timelines.  
  • Serve as lead project manager, managing client expectations, coordinating project logistics both internally and externally, and proactively identifying and addressing risks to ensure excellence in project deliverables and client experience.
  • Interpret data and provide thoughtful commentary and recommendations.
  • Build client presentations with accuracy and finesse.
  • Present research findings and recommendations to external and internal clients.
  • Serve as subject matter expert to support account teams in client engagements.

Experience and Skills Required

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Marketing, Business or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in market research, CPG/retail, and analytics.
  • Experience in category management or shopper insights preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to analyze and extract information from complex datasets with a spirit of curiosity, intuition, and attention to detail.
  • Strong storytelling, presentation, and communication skills; effectively present information to a wide range of audiences.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple client projects with a sense of urgency and personal ownership.  
  • Desire to contribute as a thought leader – with an active and engaged interest in keeping up with industry trends and consumer insights.
  • Ability to effectively manage the internal workings of complex research projects, managing cross-functional communications and deliverables
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Alteryx and Tableau a plus.
